GAZA’S HUNGER CRISIS IS FAR FROM OVER
Almost four years of conflict have changed what food means for families in Gaza. Parents have spent years trying to stretch what little they can find, often eating less so their children can eat, while children have grown up knowing hunger as part of their everyday lives. Even as more food enters Gaza, around 1.4 million people are still facing serious food insecurity, leaving families who have already endured years of displacement, loss and uncertainty still worrying about something as basic as their next meal.
Giving Hands is on the ground working to change that by sourcing food, cooking nutritious hot meals and distributing essential food supplies directly to families across Gaza. We are reaching children, orphaned families and vulnerable households with food they can eat today and supplies that give parents something to prepare for their families tomorrow.

15 YEARS OF STANDING WITH GAZA
Giving Hands has been working in Gaza for 15 years, long before the current crisis began. Our founder was born and raised there, and the relationships, local networks and understanding built over those years mean our response comes from within the communities we serve. Our teams know the neighbourhoods and the families, and many are living through the same hunger, displacement and uncertainty while continuing to show up every day to help others.
That presence has allowed us to respond throughout the crisis, even as conditions and needs have changed. To date, Giving Hands has delivered more than 6.5 million hot meals, 700,000 food parcels, 46 million litres of clean water and 30,000 tins of baby milk across Gaza. During Ramadan, we helped families put food on their tables, while Qurbani allowed fresh meat to reach households that had gone months without proper nutrition. Today, that work continues as our teams source, prepare and distribute food to families wherever we can reach them.
